Paying attention to a tire’s load rating is critical as it indicates the individual tire’s safe maximum load-carrying capacity when inflated to its recommended pressure.The tire must be able to safely support a given amount of vehicle weight. If the tire’s load rating is insufficient, it will result in a build-up of excessive heat in the tire which could lead to tire failure.We conduct tire contact pressure studies to determine how different truck tire types respond to load and inflation parameters. The combination of tire type/ size, loading, and inflation pressure determines the shape of the vertical contact pressure profile and the maximum contact pressure. Tire loading influences shoulder region contact pressures whereas inflation pressure influences center region contact pressures.

We conduct Scrap Tires Analysis to discover critical insights that can help maximize usage, prevent problems, minimize downtime and reduce wasted opportunities to retread casings. We consider important data points such as irregular wear, severe braking damage and flat spotting to identify if tires are properly maintained, or if a fleet should consider adjusting its maintenance practices. We also use this process to determine which brands and models are performing the best for retreadability and the number of times for retreadability. We conduct route studies to evaluate the potential effects of the road condition on vehicle tires using specific routes. We also evaluate the suitability of using a certain type or size of tire on the specific route. Our route surveys show how various road conditions and surface irregularities can cause excessive wear and undue damage on tires operating on a specific road. Aspects typically evaluated during a route study include the road surfacing condition, road surfacing skid resistance/friction, radii of turns and curves, road width in relation to the potential wheel tracks of the vehicle using the route, terrain undulations and any other objects that can cause excessive stresses to the tires.
